Maryland's DJ, reviewed.

Our DJ was Neil and we couldn't have had a greater time with him. Somehow, he was able to balance my love for 80s music with my wife's modern pop. Needless to say, the music for the night was amazing. Neil was also a consummate professional when it came to coordinating all of the music and announcements according to our wedding timeline. In addition, the photobooth and uplighting raised the experience to a whole other level. Overall we had an awesome time working with Maryland's DJ and Neil specifically and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Maryland's DJ was so great to work with--very responsive and thorough in answering all of our initial questions. We especially loved that we could include a photobooth and uplighting with our entertainment package!

And we'll add to the chorus of rave reviews for DJ Mike Q! He kept the dance floor PACKED and truly everyone had a great time--from our millenial friends all the way up to our 90 year old grandparents! Mike incorporated all of our requests, both songs and different special dances. He even communicated with us about a couple of plan changes we wanted to make just that day, and made it all run seamlessly. It was such a perfect, celebratory, and very "us" dance party! Thank you, Mike and Maryland's DJ!!

We were between two different vendors for our wedding and I couldn’t be more thankful to have committed to Mike Q and Marylands DJ! We had only two short meetings because Mike was on the same wave length as us the moment we had our consult with him. Mike was easy going, reassuring, organized, and so much fun. He made our Polish American wedding feel like an absolute dream and had our entire family on the dance floor in seconds. He also knew when the reel everyone in to have the heartfelt serious moments. OH MY GOD!! Words can not express how much my husband and I enjoyed having Jordan at our wedding in February. We are so grateful to have him in our lives & we recommend him to everyone who is looking for the best for their event. I also plan to work with him for future events. Jordan knew exactly how to keep the party going. My friends and family are still raving about how it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. He also listened to us and got to know us which is so important. We felt connected with him as if he was a close friend rather than just a wedding vendor. The lights he brought also tied the event together. He is so talented and I can’t recommend him enough!

Mike Q DJ-ed our wedding and did a fantastic job. He was flexible and worked with us on last-minute changes with outstanding professionalism. We had a variety of song choices, and he mixed them expertly. Whenever he played a deep cut that our friends enjoyed, he followed it up with a crowdpleaser to keep everyone on the dance floor. We also told him a "passcode" required to make song requests, and he announced that to the reception guests. We didn't intend that, but it actually made for a fun game. Our guests were interested in the passcode idea and thus made thoughtful song requests throughout the night. I'd recommend Mike Q to any couple looking for a high-energy reception.

We booked several things with Jordan. Uplighting, floor lights, a photobooth and, of course, the DJ. He worked perfectly with our venue (Ritz Carlton-Tysons) in getting the mood set, the fun started and had nothing but compliments from every one of our guests about the consistently good music. Everyone loved the photo booth and we got a copy of everything after, so we could enjoy those moments we missed. Highly recommend. Oh, he also was able to get us a last minute drapes guy to help line the ballroom!

If you want a packed dance floor, book Jordan!! Matt and I are what I guess you can call a "COVID couple" who ended up changing our wedding date three times and our venue. Jordan met us back in December of 2019 and stuck with us through it all! He is fun, responsive, reliable and so easy to work with. Our goal when selecting vendors was to make sure we felt 100% comfortable with them so that we could be ourselves - as soon as we met Jordan, we knew that would be the case. Definitely book through Maryland's DJ - you won't be disappointed!

Jordan was the best DJ we could've hoped for at our wedding! He was super responsive in the planning stages ahead of the big day, and was quick to accommodate all of our crazy last minute changes. One of the most important things for us was that it was not "his show." He played great music during our cocktail hour, during dinner, and slayed it with the dance floor music, and he was also a great MC throughout the evening who highlighted the speakers without being too distracting. We are absolutely thrilled with his service, and are trying to figure out what parties we can throw with him in the future!

Maryland's DJ did an awesome job all throughout the planning process. They are super enthusiastic about their jobs and get you excited for your wedding day. They are an organized company which helped make us feel more at ease planning. DJ Theo did an AMAZING job on our wedding day. Guests raved about his music selection and the atmosphere on the dance floor. He kept the party going and had people on the dance floor all night which is exactly what we wanted. Ross Hyatt DJ'd our wedding. Maryland's DJ promised us an amazing experience and Ross DELIVERED! From the start, the process of establishing with their team was easy despite us being out of state. Each member of the team was kind, helpful, and prompt. Once we were paired with Ross as our assigned DJ, most of our communication/collaboration was through him. He was always responsive, kind, and professional regardless of day of the week or time of day. He DJ'd each aspect of our wedding (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing) and MC'd each aspect exactly how we requested and discussed in our various meetings leading up to the big day. If this wasn't already enough, when food was spilled on my wife's dress during dinner, he was one of the first to come running over with a towel and water to help. If you are planning a wedding, or any event for that matter, you should absolutely consider signing up with Maryland's DJ and asking for Ross!

The way Marylands DJs works is that after an introductory meeting, we were paired with a DJ that they think will be a good fit for you. Brian did an amazing job for our wedding! He did both the ceremony and reception for us. The online tool they use to coordinate your music choices really makes it easy to communicate what you want without having to have a bunch of meetings. We had one final details meeting a few days before our wedding day and Brian hit the nail on the head with what we were looking for. Our guests had a fantastic time on the dance floor and people you would never expect to see out dancing were absolutely letting loose!

This was my first experience with a DJ service and it was fantastic. Mebaa and his team engaged the crowd, had everything including lighting well prepared before our arrival. He was not pushy he offered suggestions which made things flow better that I could have thought. We used their photo booth which the crowd LOVED. Everything was beyond my expectations. Completely professional and stayed in touch planning the event so nothing was left out. They kept the crowd dancing and enjoying themselves. I could not be more pleased.

Steve Hartka from Maryland's DJ dj'ed our wedding at The Hotel at UMD and it was a huge success! The process started with a video call where he could demonstrate his dj style which was very cool. From there we were able to make a 'must play,' 'would like played,' and 'don't play' list to completely customize our playlist.

We let Steve take it from there and he had our guests dancing all night long. We had UMD's mascot Testudo show up and Steve was happy to announce on cue and play the fight song.

Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dj for any event!

Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Thank you Maryland’s DJ for bringing the party to our wedding!

Maryland DJ provided the audio services for our wedding. In the lead-up to the event, we met with Taylor, and she was very professional and organized. She assigned Steve Hartka as our DJ, and the fit was perfect. After meeting with Steve before the wedding, we were confident he understood the vibe we were going for.

On the wedding day, Steve showed up on time with all the necessary equipment. His organization was great, and he was set up and ready well before the event started. During the ceremony, the microphones worked perfectly with no hiccups, and the aisle music was exactly as planned.

For the rehearsal, Steve was prepared and in control, coordinating with us, our wedding coordinator, and other vendors to make sure everything was timed perfectly. The dance floor was filled consistently, just as we had hoped, and Steve handled all of the music requests from guests while sticking to the play/do-not-play lists we had prepared beforehand.

Overall, it was a tremendous experience, and we highly recommend Maryland DJ. Five stars through and through.

I would also like to give Steve a particular shoutout for two things. First, during the cocktail hour, we decided we wanted to surprise the groomsmen and change their walk-in song to a favorite of the group. Steve obliged and was able to make the change at a moment’s notice, just minutes before the walk-ins started. Second, Steve helped us prank the best man right before he gave his speech. It worked out flawlessly.

To me, finding a good DJ was one of the most important parts of my wedding. We wanted someone who was current but that could also cater to our parent’s friends. Brian was recommended to me by a few different people. Our Wedding was not the easiest because it was in a remote location without wifi/service. We ended up contracting him for extra time because we didn’t want the party to end. Everyone told me how much they loved our DJ and a bunch of my friends are using him for their weddings. I highly recommend Brian!

Maryland’s DJ is absolutely who you want to select for DJ services for your wedding! Their professionalism, organization, and responsiveness can’t be beat. From the start of the planning process, to the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and stress free. Steve, in particular, knocked it out of the park. His transitions from song-to-song were seamless and kept the dance floor packed the entire reception. You can have confidence knowing your wedding will be a blast if you book with Maryland’s DJ!

We had an amazing experience with our DJ Mike Q. Before we even chose to hire Maryland's DJ, he invited us out to see him perform which we HIGHLY recommend to any couple looking for a DJ. We got to see his style and read the energy in the room. Our wedding reception could not have gone any smoother. He checked in with us before and after big moments and made sure we were comfortable at all times (including being down to cut some dances short if needed). We really appreciated this because being in front of hundreds of people can be a LOT. His MC skills are top tier and the dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG! He played all of our special requests and built off the list we gave him perfectly, even taking requests from our guests. He started amping up the energy during dinner so by the time the dance floor opened everyone was ready to party. We are still getting complements from guests about the music and atmosphere of the reception, thanks to our awesome DJ. THANK YOU SO MUCH MIKE Q!!!

Working with Maryland's DJ was great from Day 1. From the initial contact and discussions with Taylor and Steve about the vision for our night, we knew that we were in good hands. We had some issues with USPS and check delivery/cashing, but they quickly worked out a solution with us as soon as issues were discovered. Even with a diverse music taste and a wide age range, Steve kept the dance floor hopping from start to finish. He was even able to adjust on the fly to my wedding party's last-minute entrance changes. Our guests RAVED about the music and I can't recommend Steve and the team enough for any occasion. Thank you for making our special day so amazing.
