Jordan was awesome! He is extremely experienced and it came through in our wedding! He read the crowd perfectly and got everyone dancing, even those that don’t normally dance. His website and process for making song recommendations prior to the wedding is seamless - with just a few recommendations from us as well as crowd sourced requests from our guests, Jordan created a playlist that was spot on from the cocktail hour through the reception. He helped make the day run smoothly and provided a lot of great advice leading up to the day. He was so proactive, fun and friendly with us during the wedding; we had guests asking if we knew him beforehand. We will be listening to the Spotify playlist he created for us for heart to come! We had an absolutely fantastic time working with Maryland DJ! We got married this past weekend and had about 140 guests in attendance. We worked with DJ Neil, and he was an absolute professional throughout the day. Working with Maryland's DJ was great from Day 1. From the initial contact and discussions with Taylor and Steve about the vision for our night, we knew that we were in good hands. We had some issues with USPS and check delivery/cashing, but they quickly worked out a solution with us as soon as issues were discovered. Even with a diverse music taste and a wide age range, Steve kept the dance floor hopping from start to finish. He was even able to adjust on the fly to my wedding party's last-minute entrance changes. Our guests RAVED about the music and I can't recommend Steve and the team enough for any occasion. My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Maryland’s DJ should be your top choice - no question about it! We cannot rave enough about how wonderful of an experience we had with Steve as our DJ and working with Jordan in preparation of the big day. They were professional, great on the mic and they got EVERYONE on the dance floor. We even had a seasoned vendor comment that they’ve never seen so many people stay all the way to the end of the reception!

To begin - their portal system easily allows you to track what songs you want to hear at the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception; they meet with you in advance of your wedding to confirm plans and provide advice to make the day flow; they easily worked with any request we had; and they were so flexible when the wedding was running way behind schedule (not their fault) so Steve checked in with us on if we wanted to make any changes, then he kept the party moving! Everyone - even guests we never thought would leave their seats - was bringing their all on the dance floor and that’s thanks to Maryland’s DJ! We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and even offered to remix a few songs for us. Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and it is largely due to the music and lively atmosphere Brian created. We cannot thank him enough and will recommend him to anyone we talk to. This dude knows music and knows how to turn a party into a PARTAY!

We had Brian as our dj for our 9/5 wedding. He did a fantastic job! We are so happy we went with him and Maryland's DJ! He listened to our requests, played everything we wanted, had a great range of styles for everyone, and kept people dancing and in a good mood the whole night! Kept the vibe we wanted throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! He was great on the mic for introductions and announcements throughout the night. We used Maryland’s DJ for our 150-person black tie optional wedding in Washington DC. Services included music (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception), photo booth, and uplights. Everything was flawless. Jordan was our DJ and he was an absolute pro. Music done well has the power to make life feel like a movie and create epic moments and memories. That’s what Jordan delivered for us. Jesse is an amazing DJ! He was the DJ for our wedding this past weekend and kept the dance floor packed the entire night! We have received so many positive compliments from our guests, even those who are DJs themselves. He took the time to check in with us several times throughout the night to make sure things were going well and adjusted the set list to fit in seamlessly with how the event was progressing. We even had a few unique requests that he had no issue with incorporating. We can't thank him enough for his professionalism, positive demeanor, and impressive skills as a DJ. Maryland’s Dj made planning our wedding effortless every step of the way. Steve was accommodating and reassuring even at the most stressful times. We asked them to pull off an almost impossible task of keeping the dance floor going all night, and that did not disappoint. From the first song to the last, it was everything we imagined. I really don’t even know where to start. We have not stopped receiving messages from friends and family about how much of a blast they had. Jordan was absolutely incredible, his demo meetings were some of the most helpful we had throughout this season whole process, his online portal was such a great tool to have while planning. Neil and the rest of the team was AMAZING! We truly would not have changed a thing. Our guests stayed out on the dance floor all night long which is exactly what we wanted. This review is for Steve with Maryland’s DJ. Steve was our wedding DJ for an event at the Chesapeake Bay and has our highest recommendation due to his profound professionalism. Steve was extremely personable and communicative throughout the entire process and provided his skills to accommodate special requests for song edits and musical queues during ceremony events. He was exceedingly knowledgeable on all aspects of audio engineering, noise considerations and acoustics for outdoor events, and venue-specific accommodations as he had frequented our selected location. The music selection system was an easy to use, web based application that streamlined the song selection process and provided valuable insight into music considerations, meeting time constraints, and accounting for key wedding objectives. We highly recommend Maryland’s DJ for other wedding events to any interested parties.

Jordan did an incredible job for my daughter’s and son-in-law’s wedding on New Year’s Eve, 2021. He was not the original DJ booked from his company, but filled in on an emergency basis and was the most professional and fun DJ we have ever had the pleasure to work with. He also brought the photo booth and up lighting and everything was done in the most proficient way. He never stopped the music and took us all the way to a countdown at midnight and beyond. He worked so well with all of the other vendors which made the reception seamless. I would highly recommend Jordan and his company for any event.

Maryland's DJ was fantastic from start to finish. They were extremely fast in responding to my request, beat everyone by at least 30 minutes! Their presentation of who they are and what they do well, and what separates them from other DJ's was clean and crisp.

Jordan is beyond amazing and is truly one of the best DJs I think I've ever come across. I met him years ago when he was just starting out and remembered him being good. I kept his info because I thought maybe one day I would have a need for a DJ? Fast forward 5 years later, I got engaged and he was the first person who came to mind when we deciced to go with a DJ instead of a band. My now husband and I went to meet with him and to get a preview of what he could do and both of us were blown away. We signed our contract that same day. The entire year and a half we were engaged, I was constantly telling people how excited I was about our DJ and how I knew he would make our wedding one of the best parties our guests had ever been to. Our big day finally arrived and Jordan totally delivered. From ceremony into late-night, he knew exactly what we wanted and nailed it. At the reception we pretty much gave him the freedom to play what he thought would keep the party going and he kept it classy but oh so fun! Book him, you won't be disappointed.

Mike Q DJ-ed our wedding and did a fantastic job. He was flexible and worked with us on last-minute changes with outstanding professionalism. We had a variety of song choices, and he mixed them expertly. Whenever he played a deep cut that our friends enjoyed, he followed it up with a crowdpleaser to keep everyone on the dance floor. We also told him a "passcode" required to make song requests, and he announced that to the reception guests. We didn't intend that, but it actually made for a fun game. Our guests were interested in the passcode idea and thus made thoughtful song requests throughout the night. I'd recommend Mike Q to any couple looking for a high-energy reception.

The very best! My now-husband and I are huge music fans. Finding the right wedding DJ was really important to us, and once we spoke to Steve and Jordan from Maryland's DJ, we knew our search was over. Steve was so incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. He played every single song we requested (including quite a few obscure/non-traditional songs), and did a great job of reading the room and playing music that kept people on the dance floor. He was also super kind and easy to talk to, and we greatly enjoyed working with him. Additionally, the online portal Maryland's DJ uses is incredibly easy to navigate, and helped make the planning process a genuinely fun experience.

Our experience with Maryland’s DJ was incredible from the beginning! We met with a rep virtually who led us through an extensive presentation of all they had to offer. He asked us about our vibe and matched us with one of their DJs accordingly. Then we met with our DJ Jamaal. They have an awesome portal where you add in all of your music requests, even when to fade out, etc. We had a meeting with Jamaal a month out and he was very flexible with all of our last minute changes. We 100% recommend Maryland’s DJ for anyone looking for a fun, professional, company to work with.

Maryland DJ was our wedding DJ and it was the best! Steve Hartka was friendly, professional, and had great communication throughout the whole planning process. The online platform was so easy to use and add our favorite songs along with our do not plays. At the reception, Steve kept the party going all night long. Steve Hartka from Maryland's DJ dj'ed our wedding at The Hotel at UMD and it was a huge success! The process started with a video call where he could demonstrate his dj style which was very cool. From there we were able to make a 'must play,' 'would like played,' and 'don't play' list to completely customize our playlist.

We let Steve take it from there and he had our guests dancing all night long. We had UMD's mascot Testudo show up and Steve was happy to announce on cue and play the fight song.

Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dj for any event!

Absolute 10/10. Taylor was so helpful from the beginning to help coordinate our big day and introduce us to Neil, then Neil was an absolute rockstar throughout the entire day. He listened to all of our requests (separate speakers inside, ways of cutting certain songs, bringing extra mics, etc.), offered fun ideas like walk-up songs leading into toasts, and made sure the people were having a blast all night long. We received so many compliments on our DJ throughout the event and the following day.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Steve from Maryland's DJ for our wedding. Steve was great to work with from the get-go: he was communicative, responsive, and super easy to get along with. Our music taste is very particular and Steve really "got" us. He even offered to spin vinyl at our party, which we were super excited about. On the day of the event, Steve was not only professional but also made our small (covid-sized) party a blast. His music choice and timing was perfect and he kept the party going until the end of the night. Many of our friends commented that this was the best wedding music they've ever heard. Our wedding reception with Ryan as our DJ was absolutely perfect. He was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, and communicative with us in the weeks leading up to the event, he was thorough in his timeline and realistic about possible time restrictions for our unique requests, and he was committed to correctly presenting introductions, toasts, etc. Besides his competent organization and professionalism, where Ryan truly impressed us was the night's playlist itself. We had submitted a large library of songs we wanted to hear and discussed our particular tastes with him, and his ability to take those wishes and translate them into a dance party was unparalleled. He hit all of our most important notes (I firmly believe that every wedding needs "Tubthumping") and impressed a multi-generational guest list with selections from the 70s and 80s, seamlessly transitioning to modern hits. He consistently responded to the crowd's energy and had us dancing our asses off from the moment the dance party started to the very end of the night. Our guests are still raving about some of his inventive mixes (Ask him about his mashup of "Feel Good Inc." and "Toxic", or his Backstreet Boys medley intercut with "Turn Down For What"). Ryan surpassed all of our expectations and was integral to what was easily the best night of our lives.

Steve DJ’d our wedding in June and people are still talking about it over six months later! Everyone says it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. The music was absolutely phenomenal and our wedding was a huge party - just what we wanted! He made it super easy with the online planning tool and was so flexible with music changes. I never realized how big of role the DJ plays in a wedding reception. They are the master of ceremonies, the ones in charge of music, the host, the person who helps plan and keeps track of the order of events.

We had an amazing experience with our DJ Mike Q. Before we even chose to hire Maryland's DJ, he invited us out to see him perform which we HIGHLY recommend to any couple looking for a DJ. We got to see his style and read the energy in the room. Our wedding reception could not have gone any smoother. He checked in with us before and after big moments and made sure we were comfortable at all times (including being down to cut some dances short if needed). We really appreciated this because being in front of hundreds of people can be a LOT. His MC skills are top tier and the dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG! He played all of our special requests and built off the list we gave him perfectly, even taking requests from our guests. He started amping up the energy during dinner so by the time the dance floor opened everyone was ready to party. We had an amazing time and Steve was an incredible DJ. We had a good feeling about him from our very first meeting, but he really pulled it all together for a great event. We know he was supposed to have some help, which unfortunately fell through, but we honestly had no idea until after the party. Steve went above and beyond and made it a very special event. He made us the center of attention, he had a perfect playlist, and mixed in our requests as well. We honestly can’t think of anything that didn’t go perfectly with Steve.

On a scale of 1-10, Steve was a true 11. Throughout the entire process he was communicative, attentive, and understood our vision.

I worked with Jordan for my clients wedding in November and he was awesome! He was fully prepared for their intricate playlist that required some mixing (EDM/Emo) and they had very specific requests and he nailed it! He was prompt, communicative and kind. He was also a great MC and they also had a photobooth through Marylands DJ that was great as well. Good DJs are hard to come by in this industry but with that one wedding, Jordan made it onto my preferred DJ list. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVED having DJ Steve as an incredible part of our wedding reception! --We used Maryland’s DJ for our wedding reception and they were the most complimented vendor of the night.

--Of the DJs we interviewed Marylands DJ was by far the most professional and put together, and from the beginning we trusted their whole team. This was important because the original DJ we booked with had a conflict on our wedding day, and we weren’t concerned in the slightest when we were assigned a new DJ.

--The DJ for our wedding was DJ Mike Q and he was absolutely spectacular. He emceed very well following our instructions in their planning portal. He also could improvise well, like when I asked him to give a shout out to one of our grandmothers because it was her birthday. He also picked up on a song referenced in the best man’s speech and played it later in the night. He also takes song requests!

--DJ Mike Q was so good at keeping folks on the dance floor. I kid you not, it was packed all night and he mixed in a lot of songs we put on a list that gave him our dancing music vibes. I remember I was viben so hard that I forgot to drink anything between 8 and 9 pm. Maybe we’re biased, but compared to the previous few weddings we attended DJ Mike Q absolutely played the best music for dancing from beginning to end.

--He also added some fun mixes into the song list that made us belly laugh a few times.

--We got the photobooth and they did a great job with it. Got all the photos within a day or two of the wedding from that. That was easy to use and we were glad we got it because it gave folks a break from dancing.

--They also provided lighting and were super experienced and helpful when we had no idea how to pick what would look good in our venue

--The online planning tool and regular email reminders were great tools to help us plan our music independently on our own time.

--We didn’t book them for the ceremony, but I’m sure they would have done well.

--We got uplighting from them and it looked great in the barn. They knew exactly where to put it and we didn’t even have to think about it. We trusted them and they delivered.

I can't give a high enough recommendation for Maryland's DJ! From the moment we contacted them, we were celebrated, collaborated with, and listened to. When we said we wanted a wedding to remember, they matched us with DJ Ryan Walburn who BLEW AWAY our expectations! Not a soul left that dance floor for 3 STRAIGHT HOURS, and his music during dinner and emceeing went above and beyond. The portal is super simple to use, you get to personalize your day, and get frequent check-ins with your DJ, and their rates are affordable. Our guests haven't stopped raving and neither will we!

Jordan and his exceptional team truly go above and beyond from start to finish! During our pre-wedding zoom meetings, Jordan walked us through the entire process answering any and all questions that we had. I have never been to a wedding before where people were dancing the entire night start to finish, and am in awe that it happened at ours! PRO-TIP: Get the photo booth! It was an absolute hit and there was a line to take pictures the entire night. Guests loved how the pictures were instantly sent to their phones and best of all you will get sent a copy of every picture taken to help relieve your special night!

My husband and I cannot recommend Maryland's DJ enough. Based on our preferences, we were paired with DJ Steve. We have been impressed with him since day 1. Having never planned a wedding before, my husband and I did not know the process. However, Steve walked us through everything. He was organized, clear, easily accessible, and had the crowd dancing all night. The company has a lot of prep documents which helped ups plan for the flow of the night and really consider what we wanted for our evening -- this helped so much. Would rehire again and highly recommend to others!
