Steve did a PHENOMENAL job!!! Right from the start, he did such a good job figuring out what vibe we were looking for and even provided his number for any last minute updates we would need. His playlist during dinner (which we had little input on besides acoustic modern songs) was amazing and people were coming up to us asking for his playlist 😂. Then, he captured exactly what we wanted in terms of songs on the dance floor and kept the energy extremely high which was SO important to me. I literally danced to every single song. We would give him a 10/10!!

We really enjoyed working with this company, they were fast, efficient and responsive. We especially loved our DJ, Steve! He kept the good vibes going all night long! Our guest raved about how much they enjoyed the music and were able to stay out on the dance floor. He helped make our day so smooth and stress free, even some of the details we hadn’t quite decided on he used his expertise to best suit the moment. Could not be more happy with our evening played out.

This review is for Steve with Maryland’s DJ. Steve was our wedding DJ for an event at the Chesapeake Bay and has our highest recommendation due to his profound professionalism. Steve was extremely personable and communicative throughout the entire process and provided his skills to accommodate special requests for song edits and musical queues during ceremony events. He was exceedingly knowledgeable on all aspects of audio engineering, noise considerations and acoustics for outdoor events, and venue-specific accommodations as he had frequented our selected location. The music selection system was an easy to use, web based application that streamlined the song selection process and provided valuable insight into music considerations, meeting time constraints, and accounting for key wedding objectives. We highly recommend Maryland’s DJ for other wedding events to any interested parties.

Jordan is the best DJ out there! If you have a rough and rowdy crowd like we did or a crowd that needs to be persuaded a little to get up and dance, he will make it happen. He really knows how to read a crowd. I didn't want to get off the dance floor and I saw people who I know aren't big dancers on the dance floor. His transitions from song to song are really cool and he really helped the flow of our reception. We had so many guests tell us our DJ was amazing and to me that is one of the most important parts of a fun, successful wedding. From beginning to end Jordan was professional and easy to communicate with and you will not be disappointed!

Our photographer referred us to Jordan and we couldn’t be happier that she did! He was extremely helpful and always there when we had any questions, especially with having to change our date due to COVID. The lighting was absolutely amazing and the photo booth was a complete hit. I don’t think there was a single moment the dance floor was empty once dinner was over, besides the cake cutting. Jordan covered a lot of genres of music so there was a little bit of everything for everyone in attendance. The night flowed seamlessly and we knew we were in good hands throughout!

The wedding was AMAZING! Brian did a phenomenal job picking songs off the must play list that kept people dancing. We got great feedback on the song choices and he clearly listened to us when we were discussing volume/ the Horah. Tyler and I were worried about music too loud; Brian did a wonderful job with that. On the dance floor, we could hear everything fine and by the tables we could talk at a good level! Moreover, for the Horah we asked for the moms/ dads to be lifted together and he did that, too. No complaints! During the ceremony and introductions he played all the correct songs, too! :D

In conclusion, we were thrilled with the services and glad I asked my friend for her DJ company from her wedding in September of 2023. We will be recommending y'all!

WOW!! We had such an amazing time at our wedding! Jordan was the absolute best, we couldn’t stop talking about how we chose the perfect DJ. From the first video chat meeting to the actual day, he made us feel comfortable and really put our wants and needs above everything which made our day even more special. He played music all night long and the vibe was on point. Everyone... I mean everyone was out on the dance floor from teenagers to 90 year olds. The music choices were fun and he could really read the room and change it up to keep the flow going and keep everyone dancing. No one wanted the music to stop at the end of the night. We wanted an intimate ceremony and a huge party of a reception and he delivered for sure. We highly recommend Maryland’s DJ and Jordan, for any wedding/ event.

Jordan and his exceptional team truly go above and beyond from start to finish! During our pre-wedding zoom meetings, Jordan walked us through the entire process answering any and all questions that we had. The online portal was very easy to use and helpful, and most importantly Jordan was so accommodating to all of our little and last minute changes leading up to the wedding.

I have never been to a wedding before where people were dancing the entire night start to finish, and am in awe that it happened at ours! Jordan is such an incredible MC, making sure guests of all ages were engaged and moving the whole night. His contagious and fun energy set the tone for the night, the people did not stop having fun! His flow and announcing was perfect, seamlessly transitioning all parts of the wedding.

PRO-TIP: Get the photo booth! It was an absolute hit and there was a line to take pictures the entire night. Guests loved how the pictures were instantly sent to their phones and best of all you will get sent a copy of every picture taken to help relieve your special night!

Maryland's DJ was a last-minute addition to our 50th birthday party and we are very glad we hired them! We had a lot of fun with the online song selection portal: we we able to choose 25 "must-play" songs, 25 additional requests, and up to 10 on a do-not-play list. The portal also had a place to put the projected schedule - cocktail hour, dancing, cake, etc. Ebi was great, very professional. For example, he chose just the right songs for before and after the cake.

Our experience with Maryland’s DJ was incredible from the beginning! We met with a rep virtually who led us through an extensive presentation of all they had to offer. He asked us about our vibe and matched us with one of their DJs accordingly. Then we met with our DJ Jamaal. They have an awesome portal where you add in all of your music requests, even when to fade out, etc. We had a meeting with Jamaal a month out and he was very flexible with all of our last minute changes. We 100% recommend Maryland’s DJ for anyone looking for a fun, professional, company to work with.

Working with Maryland's DJ was seamless and Steve was awesome! It was super simple to have an introductory conversation and Steve was amazing to work with from the start-- he has great energy and listened to what we were looking for in a DJ and for what vibe we wanted for the reception. The portal they use was super helpful and easy to use for planning. Steve was great on the day of and helped make sure that the dance floor was full the entire night! Jordan was everything we could have wanted for our wedding DJ, and more. From the very beginning of the demo process with Jordan, through using the online planner, and working directly with Jordan, everything was easy, laid back, and smooth. He listened to the vibe we wanted and played all the songs we requested, expertly mashing up with different crowd pleasers with seamless transitions. He did an unbelievable job of keeping everyone out on the dance floor and everyone had the best time! Jordan casually checked in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was good and running on schedule, to see if we had requests, and to make sure that we were ready for things like speeches, parents dances, etc. Jordan did uplighting too, which was beautiful and the exact color we requested! Our guests couldn’t stop commenting even days after the wedding at how great the DJ was and how much fun they had. If we ever need a DJ for a future party, it will have to be Jordan.

Our DJ was Neil and we couldn't have had a greater time with him. Somehow he was able to balance my love for 80s music with my wife's modern pop. Needles to say, the music for the night was amazing. Neil was also a consummate professional when it came to coordinating all of the music and announcements according to our wedding timeline. In addition, the photobooth and uplighting raised the experience to a whole other level. Overall, we had an awesome time working with Maryland's DJ and Neil specifically and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jordan is phenomenal. I couldn't have picked a better DJ. From the in-person demonstration to get a feel for our music taste to the amazing communication and website he has setup that asks you all the right questions about your special day. No one can get the party going like he can and if he can get my 80 and 90 year old grandparents to get up from their seats he must be doing something right! Immediately had no worries on our wedding as everyone was vibing the whole night! Brian was our DJ and he knew the perfect moments to mix songs. We listed a couple songs to play, but Brian got the gist of what we wanted and it was a just a blast. There was never a wasted moment and never a feeling that a song had been cut short either. College friends, my parents friends, cousins, and my 90+ grandmother all felt the same way. It was not easy to entertain so many so long, but just an awesome feeling when it happens.

We opted for the photo booth that sent photos directly to your phone which was such a cool thing to have, and we also go uplighting to add a little more atmosphere to our venue and dance floor.

Lastly, my wife and I STILL were deciding on some songs two days out (!!!) and never once felt pressured into making choices, and were assured that everything would be great, and then we lived happily ever after.

Ryan Carr with Maryland's DJ was awesome, he was great to work with through the process of planning our wedding, explained everything thoroughly and was super helpful. He and his partner for our event set the mood for our whole day and we can't recommend them highly enough, everyone loved the energy and the music. Their planning features were so awesome, they allowed us to organize songs by must play, do not play, etc. which really helped us put our personality into our wedding.

DJ Brian was amazing. About a month before the third planned wedding was to take place, we found ourselves without music for the day. Maryland's DJ, specifically Jordan, was the BEST DJ we could have ever pictured for our wedding. He was recommended to me by a relative who is also in the wedding business (so she knows her stuff) and he did NOT disappoint. Especially during this unprecedented time of this ongoing pandemic, he made our wedding a priority. He was responsive immediately to any type of correspondence I had with him, went above and beyond to help us plan our music list and ceremony details. We had a wide range of guests at our wedding, and he picked the perfect mix of music to allow for a good time had by everyone. We cannot thank you enough, Jordan!!

I cannot say enough great things about Maryland DJs, Steve specifically. From the moment we met the owner Jordan, we knew we were in great hands. For us, the most important thing at our wedding was that our guests had an amazing time. We knew that music would be a key piece of this, drawing out or enhancing a different mood for every phase of the celebration. We needed our ceremony to feel serious but not too serious; our cocktail hour and dinner to feel laid back but classy; and our reception to feel like a college dance party for every generation of former college students. That's a hard balance to strike, but Jordan was able to hit every note flawlessly. He was one of those rare DJs who not only listened to our requests but also read the room at every moment to create the perfect blend of music that could just fade into the background of the experience. Steve H. & everyone at Maryland DJ was an absolute pleasure and incredible to work with. Steve really took his time to understand the aesthetic and mood we wanted to Capture for our wedding day. The photo booth they offered was completely worth it! These were the first photos we got back and we love looking at them! At the end of the night my wedding guests were chanting for an encore. Additional, one of my family members contacted MD DJ to secretly purchase dancing on a cloud for us. MD DJ really delivered to make our night magical!

Jordan and his team are truly amazing! We found Maryland's DJ through a wedding convention in DC, but also was referred to them through a co-worker of mine that used Maryland's DJ as their wedding DJ. Coming from a couple that is super into music, we knew it was a great recommendation!

Jordan was one of the best wedding decisions that we made. When we first met him, we met in his offices where he took us through a whole experience of what our wedding music would sound like, both cocktail and reception. It was truly one of the coolest things that we got to experience during the wedding planning process and made us so excited to get a glimpse of what the big day would be like. Jordan also took us through his portal where you can submit requests and your timeline, etc.

On the actual day, Jordan was totally stellar. I saw him right before we left for the ceremony and he put me at ease just by talking - he has a super calming demeanor. Even my 76-year-old Dad can't stop commenting on how amazing our DJ was and that right there is a true phenomenon! Jordan can seriously read a room and that is a true gift. Not to mention he also referred us to who we used as our travel agency for our honeymoon - he was a true blessing!

What Jordan did for our wedding day is speechless! From day one he gave us the feeling that he was dedicated to making our day the best day we could ever imagine. It was crazy how after a simple 5 minute phone call he was able put together a demo session that had us geeked for our special day! Working with Steve was an absolute dream. When we started out planning, we knew that the music would be the most important factor of our wedding for us, and Steve exceeded our expectations with the most incredible DJ set for our wedding reception. He listened to what we wanted, worked with our requests and elevated the music to the point where people are still talking about the playlist and asking us to send it to them. I would recommend Steve to ANYONE but especially for those couples who are particular about their music! We'll be recommending him to friends for all future weddings not just because he's fantastic, but because we selfishly want to participate in another Steve dance party!

We worked with Mike Q and had the most amazing experience. We told him our highest priority was to never have a lull in the dance floor and he absolutely delivered. Our guests were dancing all night long and everyone told us how amazing the DJ was. We had a crowd of all different ages and he did a great job of mixing in songs for everyone. We also talked about him playing songs fast and not staying on one song for too long, and he did this better than I could have imagined and he got through every song I wanted to hear and was able to take requests as well from our guests. Even the people in the bar below us were asking who our DJ was and said he was the best they have ever heard at the venue. He was also so professional and we loved working with him. Thank you so much Mike!!! Next time we need a DJ we will 1000% book him again, and you should too!

DJ Steve Hartka was a perfect fit for our wedding. From start to finish, Steve was very responsive and helpful. My wife and I requested that our first song be edited to add an instrumental portion, he kindly provided several edits which made our first dance a dream. The energy from the dance floor was one of the most talked about parts of our wedding day and it wouldn't have been possible without DJ Harvey's skills as well as the great sound system and uplighting. We would recommend to anyone hoping to have a fun wedding reception!

We had a 10/10 experience with Neil and Maryland DJs! Neil did a fantastic job not only honoring our song requests but also reading the room and perfectly capturing the vibe of our guests. Everyone commented on how much fun the music was, and if we ever host another event, we would absolutely choose Maryland DJs again and request Neil!

The logistics and communication were also a 10/10. Everything was seamless, which made the wedding planning process so much easier. We’re so grateful to have worked with a company that truly delivers on every level!

Jesse is an amazing DJ! He was the DJ for our wedding this past weekend and kept the dance floor packed the entire night! We have received so many positive compliments from our guests, even those who are DJs themselves. He took the time to check in with us several times throughout the night to make sure things were going well and adjusted the set list to fit in seamlessly with how the event was progressing. We even had a few unique requests that he had no issue with incorporating. We can't thank him enough for his professionalism, positive demeanor, and impressive skills as a DJ. He made our wedding absolutely unforgettable not just for us, but for all our guests as well! People have approached us for more information on him for future events, and we will definitely recommend him to our friends and family. Thank you again for helping to make our wedding so memorable.

We loved working with Maryland's DJ and DJ Theo! The team made everything easy - we had a walk through to talk about our goals for our reception and were matched with a DJ that they thought could make it happen. And DJ Theo certainly could - he was amazing! We also loved the planning tool they gave us to use for timeline creation, choosing songs, and more. The party was fantastic and we loved how smoothly everything went from micing up the ceremony to creating an awesome atmosphere for our guests during dinner, speeches and of course, the dancing! We were so thrilled the whole night and our only complaint is that it went way too fast. Thank you again to Theo for all the help you gave us as we were planning and for being our MC for the evening - it was a pleasure to work with him.

Maryland DJ provided the audio services for our wedding. In the lead-up to the event, we met with Taylor, and she was very professional and organized. She assigned Steve Hartka as our DJ, and the fit was perfect. After meeting with Steve before the wedding, we were confident he understood the vibe we were going for.

On the wedding day, Steve showed up on time with all the necessary equipment. His organization was great, and he was set up and ready well before the event started. During the ceremony, the microphones worked perfectly with no hiccups, and the aisle music was exactly as planned.

For the rehearsal, Steve was prepared and in control, coordinating with us, our wedding coordinator, and other vendors to make sure everything was timed perfectly. The dance floor was filled consistently, just as we had hoped, and Steve handled all of the music requests from guests while sticking to the play/do-not-play lists we had prepared beforehand.

Overall, it was a tremendous experience, and we highly recommend Maryland DJ. Five stars through and through.

I would also like to give Steve a particular shoutout for two things. First, during the cocktail hour, we decided we wanted to surprise the groomsmen and change their walk-in song to a favorite of the group. Steve obliged and was able to make the change at a moment’s notice, just minutes before the walk-ins started. Second, Steve helped us prank the best man right before he gave his speech. It worked out flawlessly.

Jordan was awesome! He is extremely experienced and it came through in our wedding! He read the crowd perfectly and got everyone dancing, even those that don’t normally dance. His website and process for making song recommendations prior to the wedding is seamless - with just a few recommendations from us as well as crowd sourced requests from our guests, Jordan created a playlist that was spot on from the cocktail hour through the reception. He helped make the day run smoothly and provided a lot of great advice leading up to the day. He was so proactive, fun and friendly with us during the wedding; we had guests asking if we knew him beforehand. We will be listening to the Spotify playlist he created for us for heart to come! It was a very organized process and I felt super cared for from the start! We were lucky enough to have Harvey as our DJ and he exceeded all of our expectations!! There was clear communication within the days leading up and then the actual wedding was a dream! The music was awesome and Maryland’s DJ and Harvey were incredible to work with! I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. We worked closely with Steve Hartka throughout the entire process and we both have nothing but nice things to say about him and the company as a whole. Steve was responsive with emails and their portal is a great tool for filling out forms and music choices, contacting your DJ and keeping track of your payments.

The best part about the experience was the wedding day. Steve and his assistant showed up on time and had everything set up within an hour. He took down all of our important song requests. These guys are true professionals. Everything was so on point with ceremony and cocktail hour music. And the reception was one for the books. Steve and his assistant had our dance floor packed throughout the entire reception. We had multiple people tell us after the fact that it was one of the best receptions they had ever been too. And a large part of that is owed to Steve and Maryland's DJ for making our special night a truly memorable one.

Jordan literally made our wedding a party! We had multiple meetings with him via Zoom because we needed help with song selections and he sat with us and helped us pick out the perfect ones! He also made our day run so smoothly… from pre ceremony all the way to the very last song. He had everyone on the dance floor and was able to find the groove to cater to all ages. I have told all of my friends about him and his company. I would absolutely hire him again in a heartbeat. He is very responsive, so fun, amazing energy and truly loves what he does. He totally crushed it!

The Maryland’s DJ was a great experience throughout the entire process, from beginning to finish. They were very flexible in this current environment as the time change for the wedding, and they were very accommodating. They provide great music and the sound throughout the wedding, coordinating with the venue with minimal questions for the wedding party as they went over the questions prior to the day of the event. I would recommend them for any function as the flexibility and capability was one of the most pleasant during the process of planning the wedding. Great job.

Maryland's DJ was so great to work with--very responsive and thorough in answering all of our initial questions. We especially loved that we could include a photobooth and uplighting with our entertainment package!

He kept the dance floor PACKED and truly everyone had a great time--from our millenial friends all the way up to our 90 year old grandparents! Mike incorporated all of our requests, both songs and different special dances. He even communicated with us about a couple of plan changes we wanted to make just that day, and made it all run seamlessly. It was such a perfect, celebratory, and very "us" dance party! We had an amazing experience with our DJ Mike Q. Before we even chose to hire Maryland's DJ, he invited us out to see him perform which we HIGHLY recommend to any couple looking for a DJ. We got to see his style and read the energy in the room. Our wedding reception could not have gone any smoother. He checked in with us before and after big moments and made sure we were comfortable at all times (including being down to cut some dances short if needed). We really appreciated this because being in front of hundreds of people can be a LOT. His MC skills are top tier and the dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG! He played all of our special requests and built off the list we gave him perfectly, even taking requests from our guests. He started amping up the energy during dinner so by the time the dance floor opened everyone was ready to party. We are still getting complements from guests about the music and atmosphere of the reception, thanks to our awesome DJ. THANK YOU SO MUCH MIKE Q!!!

DJ Steve Hartka DJ'ed our wedding a few weeks back, and he did an amazing job! He kept the party going all night, and had everyone up and dancing from start to finish. He fit the exact mood we were going for in the reception and also made sure that all went off without a hitch during the ceremony. Meetings with him leading up to the big day were always upbeat and positive and we felt from the start that we could count on him to do an amazing job, which he did! The very organized portal system was great, and we felt that we could have a good mix of having control of the must-play songs while also trusting him to fill in the rest of the soundtrack.
