Jordan (the owner of Maryland’s DJ) is great and was professional and enthusiastic during the booking process. He even invited us to his studio to hear him spin so we would know for sure if it was a good fit. He was a total pro and really understood our music preferences. Unfortunately, Jordan ended up not being able to DJ our wedding due to covid related wedding rescheduling. While we totally understand that things pop up, we weren’t blown away by the backup option, Brian. Brian played the songs we requested and followed our timeline, but wasn’t a great emcee. He was pretty soft-spoken and wasn’t as energetic as we had hoped. The speakers had noticeable feedback about 6 times throughout the night - especially during our toasts/speeches which was unfortunate. Brian wasn’t very assertive so this had an impact on the overall coordination throughout the night for the speeches, group photo, etc. All in all, we had a pretty good experience, but would probably not book Brian again if we had the option.

We had absolutely a great wedding experience with Jordan. He met with us throughout the process to ensure that the music you played was representative of our traditions, loves, and other great tunes that were similar to what we enjoyed. Our guests were quite complementary of his work and we enjoyed that he kept all of us on the dance floor. Moreover he pronounced everyone, including ours, names correctly and had such great enthusiasm during the reception! We appreciated that he met with us over Skype again the week before the wedding to go over everything and ensure the finishing touches were great. We even received compliments on the music you played well people were waiting for the wedding procession. He’s a great DJ, I’m glad we found him!

We hired Steve to provide music and entertainment for our reception and ensuing dance party. I would say that working with Steve, and his performance at the reception, was the absolute highlight of our entire wedding. From our first conversation, I could tell that Steve was fully on board with our plan to have a progressive/electro house dance party. We provided some songs as inspiration, and he gave us a live demo at his office, demonstrating his mixing style as well as other songs he’d found to match our taste. He accommodated my mom’s insistence on using a medley of Prince songs for the mother/son dance, and he transitioned from that into his DJ set absolutely flawlessly. I will never forget standing in the middle of the dance floor with my now-wife, surrounded by our friends, as the final guitar solo of “Let’s Go Crazy” played out, ending with Steve announcing “Your dance floor is now open!”, immediately followed by the drop of “Feel So Close” (Calvin Harris). People went nuts and it was awesome. Additionally, Steve is just an all around fun guy to talk to and work with. He gets my highest recommendation.

Jordan was amazing during the entire planning process. The in-person demonstration got us excited for our party, and was a wonderful preview of the talent he has! He has been very responsive, and professional. Similar to many others, our wedding was impacted by COVID-19. We cannot thank Jordan enough for making the stressful situation of rescheduling our wedding so much easier. He has been wonderful to work with. We are so happy we chose Maryland’s DJs, and we cannot wait to have them play at our wedding celebration in the future!!

Had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Brian and Maryland's DJ! They have several DJ's in their company which I appreciated, the first meeting was seeing what kind of music we wanted played and what the vibes of the day we were looking for. We spoke with Andrew and he helped us figure out who would be the best match for us and he nailed it with us having DJ Brian! Everyone at the wedding said they had so much fun and everyone was dancing the night away. I think he did a great job of taking requests and playing what we wanted. They have a whole form and website to help layout the day and potential music suggestions which was incredibly helpful!! I do not have one single negative comment about them. I am so thankful that he was able to keep everyone dancing and giving the range of music everyone wanted and could relate to. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a DJ!!

Maryland's DJ was fantastic from start to finish. They were extremely fast in responding to my request, beat everyone by at least 30 minutes! Their presentation of who they are and what they do well, and what separates them from other DJ's was clean and crisp.

Steve was a fantastic DJ. We used him for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We got tons of compliments about the music he was playing and how he was able to keep everyone on the dance floor.

I'd highly recommend using Maryland's DJ!!

Working with Maryland’s DJ was an absolutely amazing experience throughout the course of our wedding planning journey. From the minute that we first contacted them, Jordan and Mike were extremely professional, attentive, and best of all- FUN! Their online portal was a great tool, allowing us to quickly and easily plan everything from song lists to lighting schemes for our wedding ceremony and reception. During the course of the wedding evening, DJ Mike did a fantastic job of making announcements to keep the party flowing and playing songs that kept feet on the dance floor. We received many compliments regarding the mix of lighting and music that DJ Mike provided throughout the night, and they were absolutely correct. Our venue (Baltimore Museum of Art) included large rooms with high ceilings, but Mike did a fantastic job of lighting them and controlling the acoustics. We can’t say enough good things about Maryland’s DJ, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great DJ in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area!

We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and even offered to remix a few songs for us. Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and it is largely due to the music and lively atmosphere Brian created. We cannot thank him enough and will recommend him to anyone we talk to. This dude knows music and knows how to turn a party into a PARTAY!

Our wedding day could not have come even close to what it was without Steve! Throughout the entire process he was incredibly responsive and accommodating especially when we had to postpone our original date! During our consultation he had our exact style of music to a T, and when it came to the day of he absolutely nailed it! Steve read the crowd from the very start and kept our guests on the dance floor all night, from the very first song to the very last! People of all ages who attended our wedding continue to rave about how much fun they had, and we honestly could not have done it without him! 10000% would recommend hiring him!

I was looking for the best of the best. And I got it. DJ Steve was impeccable! He followed out timeline exactly how I was hoping he would. But also he gave me the option to adjust it if I wanted to. He held down the fort because the other vendors were not as on top-of-things. Pretty solid! Everytime I wanted to see him to ask him something during the reception he was right there asking the same thing. I couldn't be happier. I wish I could have the soundtrack to the night!

We had a great experience working with Maryland's DJ! Brian (our DJ) and Chris (on saxophone) were an absolute dream team. From the planning stages to the big day, they were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. On the day of the event, they nailed it- reading the vibe of the crowd flawlessly and delivering exactly the kind of music we envisioned. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the energy, the music, and especially Chris on sax- he stole the show!

Jordan was absolutely THE BEST DJ! Periodt. Our dancefloor was packed for 4+ hours because of Jordan. The way he weaved in our "must play" songs into other songs and remixes that fit the vibe of the room was truly masterful. To keep that many people going for that long was really awesome. Even during the cocktail hour and dinner, the music he selected was perfect. So many people came up to us both during and after the ceremony to ask "where do I find that song," because the music was so perfectly us they assumed we had made a playlist. But no, it was all Jordan. He took the time to actually get to know us before the ceremony, to pick up on exactly what we liked (and just as importantly disliked) so that the music would be perfect. Also, can't emphasize how impressed we were with the uplighting he provided, which really added an extra element to the room. The photobooth was also amazing. Would 100% recommend Jordan!!

Jordan and his team are truly amazing! We found Maryland's DJ through a wedding convention in DC, but also was referred to them through a co-worker of mine that used Maryland's DJ as their wedding DJ. Coming from a couple that is super into music, we knew it was a great recommendation!

Jordan was one of the best wedding decisions that we made. When we first met him, we met in his offices where he took us through a whole experience of what our wedding music would sound like, both cocktail and reception. It was truly one of the coolest things that we got to experience during the wedding planning process and made us so excited to get a glimpse of what the big day would be like. Jordan also took us through his portal where you can submit requests and your timeline, etc.

On the actual day, Jordan was totally stellar. I saw him right before we left for the ceremony and he put me at ease just by talking - he has a super calming demeanor. He truly is the best wedding DJ we could have ever asked for. So many of our guests came up to us during the wedding and afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the music and how perfect it was! Even my 76-year-old Dad can't stop commenting on how amazing our DJ was and that right there is a true phenomenon! Jordan can seriously read a room and that is a true gift. He also was our emcee and was amazing at directing people to what they should be paying attention to at any given moment. Not to mention he also referred us to who we used as our travel agency for our honeymoon - he was a true blessing!

Maryland DJ's—especially Jordan and John Carmichael—were absolutely incredible to work with for my daughter’s Sweet 16! From my very first call with Jordan to go over the event and pricing, to the planning process with our DJ, John Carmichael, and the rest of the team who helped with add‑ons, photo booth prints, and social media, everything was seamless. They made the entire experience so easy.

A DJ can truly make or break an event, and ours was amazing because of the DJ. John was out on the dance floor with the kids almost the entire night, keeping the energy high. The uplighting was the perfect touch, and the photo booth was a huge hit.

I can’t recommend Maryland DJ's enough—hire them for your next party! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

Having a good DJ was honestly the most important part of the wedding to me. From the moment Maryland's DJ first reached out, they were incredibly professional and responsive.

We had the absolute pleasure of having DJ Neil at our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Neil was eager to understand our vibe for the day. He read the room effortlessly and kept the energy high and the transitions smooth. Neil even got my husband on the dance floor and he hates dancing! The music truly made the night unforgettable, and we’re so grateful to Neil for bringing that energy and excitement.

Marylands DJ, and DJ Brian brought the energy for our wedding we were so happy to have them and have plenty of great mixes with all of the music that we picked. From the beginning Marylands DJ were professional and extremely helpful in our process. We were shown a great and informative presentation about their offerings, and Jordan walked us through the entire contract from beginning to end to make sure we had no issues! They had plenty of follow up emails and even incorporated some Polish music, as my wife is Polish-American, and made sure the crowd was always partying! Couldn’t be happier with Marylands DJ, and DJ Brian!! Thank you again!!

Maryland's DJ absolutely nailed our wedding, no other way to describe it.  DJ Mebaa stepped in to DJ our ceremony and reception as a last minute change in plans; my wife and I felt supported and in good hands the whole time as a result of Maryland's DJ's planning and attention to detail.

Mebaa, with only a few days notice, played all ceremony songs perfectly, timing choruses/special parts of songs perfectly with the arrival of the wedding party/the bride as they walked down the aisle.  The reception was an all out blast - Mebaa read the room perfectly, following one banger with another and keeping jaws dropped the whole night with great songs.  He also surprised my wife and I with a special last song dance to a song that we adored.

I would highly recommend Maryland's DJ, and Mebaa specifically.  They made our special day the best it possibly could be, and know how to please their clients, no matter what circumstances arise.  Aside from my wife and I, we had almost everyone we interacted with on the dance floor comment on how good the DJ music and service was - we are so glad we went with DJ over live band!

Harvey was amazing! 10/10. He was extremely prepared and could read the vibe of the event. We had a long playlist with many songs that were slow, so he played some of the slower songs during dinner and saved the more upbeat songs for dancing. He also respected our wishes about a quiet exit, which worked out because we needed to leave 15 minutes early. And I heard from guests that he kept the party going! The speakers directing music to the dance floor were great so the people with hearing problems could still hear each other at the tables. His attitude was great! He even switched from a polo to a suit when he saw most of our guests came in suits. His announcements didn’t interrupt the flow of music. Overall, he knew what we wanted better than we did!

DJ Steve from Maryland’s DJ provided music and lights for our event and was incredible! The lighting was perfect for the venue and really brought our vision to life. The music was on point all evening, and we really appreciated how willing Steve was to make announcements on the fly and to just go find out answers to questions so we didn’t have to stress. The guests had a great time dancing and so did we! We 100% recommend Steve and Maryland’s DJ for your wedding or other event!

Our DJ, Brian, was incredible! He was very receptive to our wishes on our wedding day and made sure everything flowed perfectly. He excelled at making sure there was always open communication about what he needed from us and tailoring the song choices to our needs. He was able to read the room to help keep the energy up and make sure everyone was singing and dancing their hearts out on our wedding dance floor!

The only issue we had with Maryland's DJ was that the backdrop we chose for our photo booth is not the one that arrived on our wedding day. In the grand scheme of things, this was not the worst thing that could have happened.

All in all, we are very pleased with Maryland's DJ and a huge THANK YOU to Brian for keeping a packed dance floor and making our wedding day perfect!

Our wedding day could not have been any more amazing than what your team created for us! The night felt so special and customized to fit us and our needs perfectly. Everyone on the team was sooo extremely kind and genuine and you could tell they love what they do and are truly excited to be a part of your big day! They put in extra effort, and thought and care into every single step and communicated everything with us very professionally! Wow, Where do I even begin. Look no further, Maryland's DJ is the best in the business and hiring them will be one of the best decisions you could ever make for your wedding day. We scheduled our wedding date around Jordan's availability, because our wedding day wouldn't be the same without the #1 DJ. Jordan will not only play the tunes for your day, but he will become your friend, step in on day of duties, make sure everything runs smoothly and organized, sweep any wedding day stress away, keep your drinks full, and of course the dance floor packed. As our wedding night was coming to a close and the bus was ready to take the first trip back to the hotel, but our guests literally refused because the dance floor was too much fun!!! I wish I had counted the number of guests who came up to us stating it was the "best wedding they had ever attended". Investing in Maryland's DJ is investing in a relaxed, and fun filled wedding day that you (and all of your guests) will never want to end!

When we first began researching our wedding DJ, we found it easy to set up appointments to speak with Jordan, who did a great job explaining the services they offer and matching us with our DJ Steve. During the planning stage, it was fun and easy to work on our song requests and timeline through the online portal, and in our zoom meeting with Steve, his expertise made us feel confident that he would be able to create the experience we wanted for our wedding day. When the day finally came, we were so happy with the music Steve chose for every part of our reception. Our reception was a bit on the longer side, so we were impressed that he kept our guests dancing the entire night! We are also so grateful for his professionalism - we found out later that we had a guest who was a bit demanding with requests, but he handled the situation with grace and without bringing it to our attention so that we could fully enjoy ourselves. Maryland's DJ, specifically Jordan, was the BEST DJ we could have ever pictured for our wedding. He was recommended to me by a relative who is also in the wedding business (so she knows her stuff) and he did NOT disappoint. Especially during this unprecedented time of this ongoing pandemic, he made our wedding a priority. He was responsive immediately to any type of correspondence I had with him, went above and beyond to help us plan our music list and ceremony details. We had a wide range of guests at our wedding, and he picked the perfect mix of music to allow for a good time had by everyone. We cannot thank you enough, Jordan!!

Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision-making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last-minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Thank you Maryland’s DJ for bringing the party to our wedding!

The entire Marylands DJ team was kind and professional, and their whole process was very streamlined and detail-oriented! Their forms and online platform made it easy to plan music selections and figure out timelines. We had a micro wedding of about 40 guests, and our DJ Mike was awesome... he was able to identify our tastes in music and catered playlists to them. He was able to find this awesome balance of keeping the party going but not going "overboard" since it was a smaller wedding. I would highly recommend Marylands DJ!!!

My husband and I cannot recommend Maryland's DJ enough. Based on our preferences, we were paired with DJ Steve. We have been impressed with him since day 1. Having never planned a wedding before, my husband and I did not know the process. However, Steve walked us through everything. He was organized, clear, easily accessible, and had the crowd dancing all night. The company has a lot of prep documents which helped ups plan for the flow of the night and really consider what we wanted for our evening -- this helped so much. Would rehire again and highly recommend to others!

We aren't big dancers in my family, so Steve had a challenge -- but he was able to get everyone up and smiling and dancing until our 10:30 exit! The energy never slipped. Very easy process communicating and planning. We got lots of compliments on our wedding and many of them mentioned the DJ (Steve) in particular. Steve never said anything cringey or cheesy but was able to make great announcements when needed. One of my favorite memories is cutting our cake to "Short Skirt, Long Jacket" by CAKE (get it?) while hearing our guests singing along. Tons of fun. Highly recommended.

We decided to go with Maryland DJ after having a fantastic introductory call with the owner Jordan Solender. We booked DJ Mike Q for our wedding date and had access to easy planning tools to where we could add different "must play" and "do not play" songs. Sadly Mike Q ended up getting covid the Friday before the wedding, but Maryland DJ also always has an unscheduled DJ on staff in case something comes up and DJ Neil was able to fill in beautifully! He made the dance floor come alive, and we received so much praise from guests about the DJ's song choices. It was hands down the best dance floor I've seen at a wedding, and Maryland DJ was a major part in making that happen. Would definitely recommend Maryland DJ and DJ Neil!

They worked with us to make the planning very simple and straight forward. They were super helpful with recommendations for prelude and cocktail hour music.

The planning portal was super easy and fun to put together our dream wedding playlist. From the prelude music all the way until the very last song of the night, Laz and John worked with us to execute our vision flawlessly.

Now whenever I hear of anyone holding a wedding or event that calls for a DJ, without hesitation I will always recommend, Maryland's DJ! Thank you all again so much for making our special day, the greatest day.

WOW!! We had such an amazing time at our wedding! Jordan was the absolute best, we couldn’t stop talking about how we chose the perfect DJ. He made us feel comfortable and really put our wants and needs above everything which made our day even more special. Everyone... I mean everyone was out on the dance floor from teenagers to 90 year olds. The music choices were fun and he could really read the room and change it up to keep the flow going and keep everyone dancing. We wanted an intimate ceremony and a huge party of a reception and he delivered for sure. We highly recommend Maryland’s DJ and Jordan, for any wedding/ event.

DJ Steve Hartka DJ'ed our wedding a few weeks back, and he did an amazing job! He kept the party going all night, and had everyone up and dancing from start to finish. He fit the exact mood we were going for in the reception and also made sure that all went off without a hitch during the ceremony. Meetings with him leading up to the big day were always upbeat and positive and we felt from the start that we could count on him to do an amazing job, which he did! The very organized portal system was great, and we felt that we could have a good mix of having control of the must-play songs while also trusting him to fill in the rest of the soundtrack. Forever grateful for all you did to make our day even more special, Steve!!

I really don’t even know where to start. We have not stopped receiving messages from friends and family about how much of a blast they had. Jordan was absolutely incredible, his demo meetings were some of the most helpful we had throughout this season whole process, his online portal was such a great tool to have while planning. One of the best decisions we made throughout this whole process, our wedding was a blast. One thing he will definitely make sure of is that your wedding truly feels like yours. The process was so individualized to you, and it will never feel like it’s anybody else’s day but yours. Do yourselves a favor and book Maryland’s DJ, you will not regret it!

Just want to start by saying thank you for how amazing the entire Maryland’s DJ has been. From our initial conversation to the wedding night, we’ve felt comfortable knowing you guys had us covered. With the hundred other wedding things we were managing, not worrying about the DJ situation was a massive plus. So a kudos to you for your professionalism and the help you showed us when we were still shopping around and trying to get a sense of things.

Most of the credit should go to Steve. What a legend. I’m not sure he even knew where Moldova was on a map before our wedding day but they’d give him a citizenship after the party he threw for us all. 10/10 service, will recommend Steve and you guys for any weddings our friends have.

Working with Jordan from Maryland's DJ was easy, seamless, and fun! From our first phone consultation with him, we knew that he was the DJ for us. It felt like he understood our musical taste and the vibe of each element of our wedding day even better than we could explain. During our reception, Jordan was communicative and able to keep the night organized with a natural flow. At the wedding itself, what a blast! The music was on point, including songs that were important for us to play, and songs to keep the crowd moving. Jordan took the time to listen to our interests in songs and it showed. As the bride and groom, we had requests for BTS, pop -punk, and EDM. Jordan hit that all and then some. All night, wedding guests would compliment the music and the DJ.

The photobooth was great as well. All of our guests had a great time using the photobooth. It was fun and easy for all. 10/10 would hire Jordan again in a heartbeat.

DJ Steve Hartka was a perfect fit for our wedding. From start to finish, Steve was very responsive and helpful. My wife and I requested that our first song be edited to add an instrumental portion, he kindly provided several edits which made our first dance a dream. All of our wedding guests have continued to comment on Steve's awesomeness. Steve was very friendly and accommodating with song requests from my newly minted niece. Overall, I'd recommend Maryland's DJ for weddings and special events. As an outfit, they're as slick and professional as it gets. Their online tool is fantastic, especially if you're like we are and feel the need to carefully tweak the music selections over and over again! It's surprising what you'll find in their database, and you can very easily add your own music for whatever's missing. The uplighting was extremely tasteful (especially since our venue had a lot of decorative lighting to start with), and Mike Q kept people on their feet throughout the night. If you're the type of couple that largely just wants to leave things in the hands of the professionals after establishing a few guiding principles, Maryland's DJ would be a godsend.

My husband and I are both pretty persnickety and neurotic about certain things, and thus there are a few areas we felt could've been improved. However, in this day and age it deeply hurts a business to leave anything less than a 5 star review unless they were truly lacking. Our criticisms are pretty minor, and meant to be constructive. A few announcements were a bit jumbled, and the audio quality on one or two songs was weirdly grainy. We left a lot of notes in the app prior to the wedding, so I can understand we may have provided a little too much input on certain things that didn't go exactly perfect. While we mentioned we wanted to get the slow dances out of the way early in the night to maximize folks' dance time, this was taken a bit to the extreme and my husband and I were still chewing our cake for most of our first dance. Nevertheless, these are all in the long run small issues that didn't detract from our happiness that day. Our guests largely didn't notice, either. We've heard so many DJ horror stories from other couples (and witnessed a few firsthand ourselves at others' events) that I would still say our experience with Maryland's DJ was generally fantastic.

Jordan does amazing work! He knew when the time was to play certain songs and once the party started it never stopped! The way he has his program set up makes it so easy to customize and to keep track of everything that’s going by having everything detailed down to the smallest thing. He made it really simple and hassle free which is what we really needed. If you need someone in charge of your party and to make sure you and your guest have a great time, hire Jordan!

If you want a packed dance floor, book Jordan!! Matt and I are what I guess you can call a "COVID couple" who ended up changing our wedding date three times and our venue. Jordan met us back in December of 2019 and stuck with us through it all! He is fun, responsive, reliable and so easy to work with. Our goal when selecting vendors was to make sure we felt 100% comfortable with them so that we could be ourselves - as soon as we met Jordan, we knew that would be the case. We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and offered to remix a few songs for us! Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and it is largely due to the music and lively atmosphere Brian created. We cannot thank him enough and will recommend him to anyone we talk to. This dude knows music and knows how to turn a party into a PARTAY!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. We worked closely with DJ Steve throughout the entire process and we both have nothing but nice things to say about him and the company as a whole. Steve was responsive with emails and their portal is a great tool for filling out forms and music choices, contacting your DJ and keeping track of your payments.

The best part about the experience was the wedding day. Steve and his assistant showed up on time and had everything set up within an hour. He took down all of our important song requests. These guys are true professionals. Everything was so on point with ceremony and cocktail hour music. And the reception was one for the books. Steve and his assistant had our dance floor packed throughout the entire reception. We had multiple people tell us after the fact that it was one of the best receptions they had ever been too. And a large part of that is owed to Steve and Maryland's DJ for making our special night a truly memorable one.
